Eddie Wayne Nelson, 76, of Panama City, FL went to his heavenly home on Sunday, February 27, 2022. He was born on May 6, 1945 in Panama City, FL. He retired from the papermill after 33 years as a welder/general mechanic. He was a faithful member of Hiland Park Baptist Church for the last 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Crofford B. & Vera Nelson; three brothers, Claude Nelson, Julian Nelson and Kenneth Nelson. He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Perry) Nelson; two children, Bryce Sullivan (Bobby), Perry Nelson; four grandchildren, Bo Sullivan (Kristen), Cari Henry (Buck), Trent Nelson (Bo Oliver), Laken Jones (Austin) and seven great grandchildren, Cash Henry, Raeleigh Sullivan, Collins Henry, Reid Sullivan, Sullivan Jones, Rori Sullivan, Warner Jones; three sisters, Olga Greene (Terrah), Velia Morre (Tom), Linda Proto (Ron) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 12 noon in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Carl Fondren officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 pm. Active pallbearers will be Bo Sullivan, Buck Henry, Austin Jones, Cash Henry, Bo Oliver, Guy Nelson, Charles Nelson and John Bottoms. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the COED 7 Sunday School Class at Hiland Park Baptist Church.
