EARL R. (SONNY) ALLAN JR.
Earl R. (Sonny) Allan Jr., 67, a lifelong resident of Panama City, passed away February 16, 2011 in his home. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Callaway. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl R. Allan Sr. and Minnie Lee Allan. He is survived by his wife, Jan Hand Allan; children, Sher Allan and husband Bryan Johnson, Rod Allan and wife Kim, Jeff Allan and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Taylor Allan, Trevor Allan, Kaitlyn Allan, all of Panama City; stepson, Chris Sheely; stepdaughter, Jena Adkins; brothers, Charles Allan and wife Beverly; Ken Allan and wife Lisa; numerous nieces and nephews; and best friend, Bo Smith. Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Callaway Cemetery with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating and with Masonic rites conducted. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Shaddai Shriners Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 16115, Panama City, FL 32406 in memory of Earl Allan.
