EARL EUGENE DAMASK
1923 – 2010
Earl Eugene Damask, 86, of Panama City Beach, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2010. He was born in L'Anse, Michigan on December 14, 1923. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Margaret Damask; 3 brothers, Charlie, George and Larry and his 3 sisters, Clara, Evelyn and Ann. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Frances Catherine Damask; four children with his first wife, Eileen Damask, who passed away in 1977, Donna (Keith) Kolodsick, Patrick Damask, Earlene (Robert) Schloff, Denise (Jeffery) Bennett; step children, Benjamin Miller, Charlotte Holland; and 14 grandchildren. He was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the World War II Campaign. He fought in Germany and survived the Battle of the Bulge. He followed with a career at Ford Motor Co., spanning 36 years. Following his 1980 retirement, they moved from Michigan to Panama City Beach, Florida. He was one the founders of Panama City Beach VFW Post 10555. Earl will always be remembered for never having met a person he didn't like. A memorial service is planned for December; a date has not been set yet.
