In Loving Memory of Dwayne Davis

December 24, 1976 – October 1, 2026

With broken hearts and so much love, we announce the passing of Dwayne Davis, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who passed away on October 1, 2026.

Dwayne was born on December 24, 1976, in Apalachicola, Florida, to Lois Marie Redmon and George Felix Davis.

Dwayne was a loving husband to his wife, Shenna Davis, and a proud father to his children, Dasia Davis, Amaya Davis, Zyana Davis, and his namesake, Dwayne Davis Jr. Above everything else he accomplished in his life, being a husband and a father was one of the greatest and most meaningful parts of who he was.

To his family, Dwayne was so much more than words can describe. He was the person they could depend on, the one who worked hard and made sacrifices to make sure his family was taken care of. He loved his children deeply and was incredibly proud of each of them. He gave them more than a home—he gave them memories, laughter, guidance, protection, and a father’s love that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

To Shenna, he was more than a husband. He was her partner in life, the father of their children, and the man with whom she built a family and shared years of memories that can never be replaced. Through life’s happiest moments and its hardest days, they shared a bond and a story that will always be a part of her. His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express, but the love they shared does not end here. It lives on in her heart and in the beautiful family they created together.

Dwayne was a man with many interests and talents. He loved all kinds of music, and he loved to cook, especially when it meant bringing people together. Sports were another big part of who he was. Dwayne could play just about any sport, and his natural athletic ability was something those who knew him will always remember.

For more than a decade, Dwayne worked overseas as a private contractor. Being away from home was not always easy, but his hard work reflected how much he wanted to provide for the people he loved. Behind those years of work was a husband and father doing what he could to build a better life for his family.

Dwayne’s life will never be defined by the day he left us. It will be remembered through the life he lived, the people he loved, the sacrifices he made, the laughter he brought, the meals he cooked, the music he enjoyed, and the countless memories he created with his family.

His children will carry pieces of him with them as they grow. His family will continue to tell his stories, laugh about the good times, and remember the little things that made Dwayne simply Dwayne.

And for Shenna, the love and life they shared will always remain a part of her.

Although we wish we had more time, we are grateful for every year, every memory, every laugh, and every moment we were blessed to have with him.

Dwayne, you were deeply loved in this life, and you will be deeply missed every day. Your place in our family can never be filled, and your memory will live in our hearts forever.

Family and friends are invited to come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the life of Dwayne on Saturday, October 10, 2026. Visitation will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel ,214 Airport Road Panama City, Florida 32405 from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral service starting at 2 p.m.

Forever our husband. Forever our father. Forever loved.
