Douglas Monroe Tipton, 67, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, October 10th , 2018 at Covenant Hospice in Panama City, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Shreveport, Louisiana and was raised in Panama City. He was predeceased by his parents Burnice Lee Tipton and Carrie Beatrice Tipton and a brother Ronald "Buck" Tipton. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a lifetime member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 234.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Seaborn Tipton; one daughter, Dana Tipton and one son, Patrick Tipton; two grandchildren, Ashley Tipton and Brandon Tipton (Faith); four great grandchildren, Colton, Carter, Brayleigh and Brenton Tipton; one brother, Donald Tipton (Janet) and five sisters, Nita Oliver (Mike), Glenda Bostick (Don), Bonnie Grant (Floyd) Carol Quinn (Bob) and Paula Hervieux.
In honor of his request there will be a private family service held at a later date.
