DOROTHY "DOT" TURNER
Dorothy "Dot" Turner, 87, of Panama City, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010. She was a charter member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi. She was an avid bowler and card player, as well as a great cook. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert Pearson Turner, Jr. She is survived by her three daughters, Linda McCarson and husband, James, of Panama City, Margaret Merritt and husband, Bill, of Sopchoppy, FL, Debra Helton and husband, Van, of Winston Salem, NC; ten grandchildren, Robin Sapp and husband, Tim, Suni Barshear, Warren Goodwin, Richard A. Cox, Jr., Robert L. Cox and wife, Teresa, Regina M. Parker and husband, Roy, Dorothea J. Smith and husband, Bobby, Heather V. Larkins and husband, Rodney, Kathleen Snyder and husband, Cory, Patrick S. Helton and wife, Maritza; 26 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; brother, Bill Dorman, of Kilgore, TX; sister, Laura Wilkerson, of Portland, OR; and special friends, Barbara & Bob Jones and John & Linda Friedman. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Forest Park United Methodist Church with Dr. John Friedman officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. Those desiring to may make memorial donations to Forest Park United Methodist Church, 1401 W 23rd Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Dot Turner.
