Dorothy Ellen Scott, 82, of Alford, FL passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020. She was born on October 9, 1937 in Sevier County, TN. She was a member of the Cypress Creek Community Church in Alford, FL.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Scott; two sons, Robert Brian Cox, Kenneth Eugene Cox; one brother, Hubert Kirkland; her parents, Samuel and Bertha Kirkland.  She is survived by two sons, James Jason Scott, Kenneth Bart Cox; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren; five siblings, Betty, Faye, Edna, Lou and Paul. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 12 noon in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10am -12 pm prior to the service.
