DOROTHY ROSALIE POPE
Dorothy Rosalie Pope, 83, of Panama City, died Thursday, October 5, 2006 in a local nursing facility. She was born June 19, 1923 in Neodesha, Kansas and had been a resident of Panama City since 1989. She was a retired contracting officer for the Department of Defense. She also served in the U.S. Navy as a nurse during World War II. She attended the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Stanley E. Pope, daughter, Paula Clampitt and husband, Richard, 2 grandsons, Richard Clampitt Jr and wife, Lisa, David Clampitt and wife, Julie, 2 great grandchildren, Logan Clampitt and Madeline Clampitt, 4 stepchildren, Larry J. Pope and wife, Carol, Cindy Lawter, Dean Pope and wife, Sandy, Teri Schuler and husband, Richard, brother, Basil Barnett and wife, Jo Ann and numerous step grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make a contribution to Hospice of the Emerald Coast, 2925 Martin Luther King Blvd, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Dorothy Pope.
