Dorothy A. Brown, 93, a long-time resident of Panama City went to be with the Lord and her husband in heaven after her long battle with Dementia. Dot was born at Ft. Bragg, Georgia on January 1 st 1929. She spent most of her life being a military daughter, sister, wife, mother or mother-in-law. Dot attended Perkinston College in Mississippi where she met her husband Wilton Brown "Red" just before WWII.
She was preceeded in death by her parents Voron Baughan Sr. and Lessie (Garrett) as well as siblings Voron Jr. and Lewis and husband Wilton (Red) of 72 years.
Dot leaves behind her children, Rebecca (Robert) Pahl, Raymond (Maureen) Brown, Julie (Lee) Casey and Nancy (Thomas) Morgan. She was blessed with five grandchildren, Michelle Cooper, Amanda Garverich, Shelby (Erica) Casey, Garrett (Jen) Casey and Sarah Morgan. There are also six great grandchildren Owen Garverich, Hunter Zellefrow, Kayden, Karsyn and Kylen Riddle and Cameron Casey.
She was a long-time member at Northside Baptist Church (City Church) where she co-led the Young at Heart group with her husband Red, taught Sunday School, was a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader, Cookie Mom and a host of other volunteer work.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 29th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel located at 214 Airport Road in Panama City. Graveside service will be held at Jehu Cemetery in Wewahitchka on Saturday morning April 30 at 10 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Florida Baptist Disaster Relief

The family was truly blessed to have Penny Miller as her care giver for the last 5 years. Thank you also to the staff of Superior Residences and Emerald Coast Hospice.
