Doris Marie Pugh Bynum, 85, of Wewahitchka, FL passed away on Monday, May 10, 2021. She was born on November 17, 1935 in Jasper, AL to John and Marjorie Pugh. She grew up in Birmingham, AL and graduated from high school in 1954. She then moved to Panama City in 1961 where she worked as the Senior Administrator for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. Doris enjoyed raising her family, cooking, singing in the Choir, watching Auburn Football and NASCAR racing. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John F. Bynum; one daughter, Rosalyn Lowery; three sons, Thomas Bynum, Steven Pittard, Gary Dean; two brothers, Bill Pugh and Robert Pugh. She is survived by six children, Michael Pittard (Frances), Larry Dean (Debbie), Roger Dean (Denise), John H. Bynum, Jim Bynum (Kelly), Amy Emery; one sister, Carol Hallmark; one brother, Wayne Pugh; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 11 am in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be Clay Burchell, John Burchell, John Bynum, Jim Bynum, Duane Putney, Kevin Putney and Josh Johnson. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Mayo Clinic, 4500 San Pablo Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32224 in memory of Doris Bynum.
