Doris Jean Weeks Melvin, 76, of Panama City, died Friday, October 19, 2007. She was born September 15, 1931 in Panama City and had been a lifelong resident here. She attended Bay High School with the Class of 1950. She was a member of the Bible Believers Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Boswell Melvin. She is survived by 2 sons, Paul Melvin and wife, Jennifer; Edward Melvin and wife, Marsha, all of Panama City; daughter, Elizabeth Eastering and husband, Tim of Satsuma, AL; 5 siblings, Charlie Weeks and wife, Betty; Dora Lee Davis; Doyle Weeks; Dave Weeks and wife, Jeanne; Yvonne Godert, all of Panama City; 7 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Jutila officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Travelers Rest Cemetery, Blountstown, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
