Doris Virginia Chrastina, age 95 was welcomed home to Heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 24, 2021. She was born to Emmett and Bertha Mauppin in Wynne, Arkansas on June 10, 1925. Doris was preceded in death by her loving husband, William "Chris" Chrastina; her parents, Emmett and Bertha Mauppin, and sister, Hazel Lessell. Left to treasure her memories are a son, Randy Chrastina (Marilyn); daughters, Sharon Creamer (Gwen), Sandra Pate (Danny); grandchildren, Julie Walker (Tim), Ryan Pate (Sarah Vi), Sheryl Samples (Jeremiah), Chad Creamer (Earyn) and Shelly Mapes. Doris was blessed with 12 great grandchildren, Emily and Jacob Walker, Madeleine Williamson (Cody), Bethany and Isaac Pate, Addison, Eli, Camden Samples, Brynn, Rhett and Locklyn Creamer and Kyler Mapes. Doris lived her life as an example of Christ for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be remembered as a praying, caring, compassionate friend to all. She loved her church, St. Andrew Baptist Church and served in many capacities over the years. She served at the St. Andrew Baptist Center of Hope as a counselor and shared the Gospel, the Good News of the hope she had in the Lord Jesus. To further the Gospel, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Andrew Baptist Center of Hope in her honor. The family will have a private graveside service.
