Obituary
Doris Davis Chancellor, 79, of Triangle, Va. and formerly of Panama City, Florida passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2018.
She was born September 13, 1939 in Baker, Florida and later moved to Wewahitchka where she attended Wewahitchka schools graduating in 1957. She retired from Zales Corporation in Irving, Texas and following her retirement, she and her husband moved to Panama City.
She was an accomplished musician having played the organ and piano for many churches in Panama City.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George Archie Chancellor, Jr., Panama City, father Otis Davis, Sr., mother Lovie McCall Davis, and brother Otis Davis, Jr. of Wewahitchka.
She is survived by daughter Carla Chancellor Young(Eugene); son George Jason Chancellor; three sisters, Iris Davis Corbett(Staten), Judy Davis Land, Jacquelyn Davis Williams; two sisters-in-law Deborah Davis and Rebecca Bourdene, and many nieces and nephews.
Public graveside services will be held on Monday, November 19 at 11:00am at Garden of Memories cemetary with Rev. Dr. Richard M. Conner Sr. officiating. There will be an open casket viewing for family members only on Monday at 9:30am at the Wilson Funeral Home.
