Doris Evans Adams passed away on August 4, 2025. She was born on May 18, 1930 to Horace and Grace Laird Evans in Columbus, GA. She has resided in Panama City since 1935. She was a Bay High graduate of 1948. She loved cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed sewing and made clothes for her daughters. Her family was very important to her.

She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Charles Q. Adams; parents; sisters, Francis Jones, Una Powell, Hazel Holmes; brother, Don Evans; and son-in-law, John Friede.

She is survived by her two daughters, Janet Lanford (Phil), Judy Friede; grandchildren, Rachel Ferradez (Leo), Dawn Sims (Tom), Charlie Lanford (Nicki), Julie Schwartz (Jesse); nine great grandchildren who she adored; sisters, Verna Howard, Jean Gainer; brother-in-law Terrell Adams. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Panama City.

Funeral services will be held on Friday , August 15, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. Friday prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Building Fund of First Presbyterian Church of Panama City.
