Donald Gray Wasson, 80, of Panama City, died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Covenant Care Hospice at Bay Medical Hospital. Mr. Wasson was born in Port Arthur, Texas, had lived in Panama City since retiring here 31 years ago with his late wife Anna Mary Shultz Wasson. After attending school locally, he moved with his family overseas in 1951 through his retirement to Panama City in 1986. He is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law: Miriam Wasson of Houston, Texas, and Elizabeth and Don Padgett of Jacksonville, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Deanna Wasson of Tallahassee, Florida and Leon and Shelly Wasson of Dillon, Colorado; eight grandchildren, Kathryn, Andrea, and Marlena Padgett, Addison and Lillian Wasson, and Anna, Kate, and Gray Wasson; sister, Diana Wasson of Austin, Texas; and her three children John, David, and Melissa Minter; brother and sister-in-law, David and Mila Wasson of Panama City, Florida; and their two children Michael Wasson and Denise Jeung. Funeral services will be held graveside in the Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, April 15 at 4 pm. The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home on Friday, April 14 from 6-8 pm.
