DONALD W. ADAMS
Donald W. Adams, 67, passed away in Panama City, FL, on Friday, July 27, 2012, of complications of Parkinson's disease. He is survived by his wife, Addie Fuller Adams, his brother, Eugene Adams (Elaine), Graceville, FL, and his nieces, Mary Grace Adams Holland, Graceville and Amanda Adams., Freeport. He is also survived by grandnephews, several godchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.
Mr. Adams grew up in Graceville, FL, and attended public schools there. He attended Chipola Jr. College and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida. He served in the United States Army and was an aide in Gen. Omar Bradley's office. After service in the army, he received a master's degree from UCLA and did additional graduate work at Florida State University. He retired from Chipola Jr. College, where he taught English for many years.
Visitation will take place at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Panama City on Sunday, July 29 beginning at 2 p.m., with a memorial service to follow in the church at 3 p.m. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Graceville, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
