Don Cane Cooley, 86, of Panama City, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. He was born on March 21, 1929 in Alford, Florida to Gus & Bessie Mae Cooley. He was the former co-owner and operator of Bonds Tile Shop. He was a member of the Hiland Park Baptist Church and the Cliff West Sunday School class. He was a former member of the Elks Club. He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl Cooley, Glen Cooley, Paul Cooley; and a sister, Sarah Grace Crews. He is survived by his wife, Ivy Jayne Peel Cooley; three sons, Richard Cooley (Renee), Ronnie Cooley (Debbie), Phillip Richardson; daughter, Pam Land (John); eight grandchildren, Weston Cooley, Rebecca Cooley, Christopher Cooley (Sean), Patrick Cooley, Tiffany Faulkenbery, Tanya Rowell (Mitch), Samantha Lange, Houston Richardson; three great-grandchildren, Jewell, Braydon, Savannah; two brothers, Tommy M. Cooley (Olivia), Harold Cooley (Helen); sister, Modray Knauss (David); sister-in-law, Alice Cooley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Cooley and Rev. Carl Fondren officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. Active pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Thomas, George Warren and members of the Cliff West Sunday School Class.
