Dollie Hagler Smitherman, 99, of Panama City passed away June 11, 2021.  She was born December 5, 1921 in Hartford, Alabama to Bernie and Ida Lee Hagler.  She had been a lifelong resident of Panama City. She was a homemaker and a member of Hiland Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Smitherman; son, Tim Smitherman; brothers, Herman Hagler, Bernie F. Hagler Jr and Jack Franklin Hagler and wife Julie Mae Hagler; sister, Ollie B. Eldridge.  She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Little (James); two grandsons, David Keith Little (Dayle) and Ricky Allen Little (Yvette); four great grandchildren, Kensington, Sierra, Gabriel and Andrew;  and one brother, Billy Hagler (Karen).  A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Gideon's Bible or the charity of your choice.
