DIRITHA JOYCE CRATON KELLY

Diritha Joyce (Craton) Kelly was born August 17th, 1934 and passed away peacefully in her home August 27th, 2008 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edward Kelly Sr. in 2007. He was the love of her life and her very best friend for 55 years. Also preceding her was her son, Thomas Edward Jr., who died in 2006 at the age of 42. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Burkett, her son-in-law, Michael Burkett, her grandsons whom she adored, Ryan Burkett and Patrick Burkett, her sisters, Tommie Bullard and family of Decatur, Georgia, Mickey King and family of East Point, Georgia, and her brother, Jimmy Craton and family of Douglasville, Georgia. She was especially close with her sister, Tommie, and shared a very special bond with her, as only sisters can. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Sidney Kelly and nephew Tim; a special niece, Tracy Rupp and her husband Steve, grand niece, Elise West, and a very special friend, Donna Maria Brown. Joyce, more than anything, enjoyed getting together with all her long time friends and loved them dearly, and she requested we say so. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donald Clough officiating.
