Dessie K. Barfield Halligan
Dessie K. Barfield Halligan, 91, of Callaway, Florida passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at the Sea Breeze Health Care Center.
She was born December 6, 1917 in Vernon, Florida.
She is survived by her sons, Sydney Barfield and wife Barbara, Jimmy Barfield and wife Carol, all of Callaway, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, brother, Bert Kolmetz and wife Lois, of Callaway and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Barfield and Robert Halligan, twin sister, Essie Roddenberry, sisters, Ethelle Seay, Arnella Elder and Alice Taylor.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2009 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30 – 12:30 prior to the service.
