A beloved and beautiful woman, Dena Vee Montgomery Powell, 60, returned to her heavenly father on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. She was born on April 18, 1960 in Panama City, FL, to Charles August Montgomery USAF SMSgt and Elma Lee Kelley Montgomery.

Dena worked as a Paralegal in Bay County for over 35 years. She was an incredibly devoted mother and grandmother. She was a lifelong resident of Panama City and registered as First Families of Bay County through the Bay County Historical Society. She loved living on the Gulf of Mexico and had countless friends in the area. Her free spirit, faith and creative soul will be greatly missed by so many who loved her.

She is survived by her two daughters, Tesa Alaine Burch, and Kacy Burch Russell; one son-in-law Rinaulti Russell; one step-daughter Teri Burch and three grandsons, Oliver Burch, Carter Russell and Landon Russell. She is also survived by one brother, Mark Montgomery; one sister, Charlene Thibodeau; and her beloved Powell Family: Tom, Jerry, Rosie, Chris, Tracey, Gatlin and Grayson. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Charles Montgomery Jr. and one sister, Sharon Montgomery. A celebration of life will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 2 pm.
