DAYTON STRICKLAND

Dayton Strickland, 85, of Panama City, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in his home. He was born March 14, 1923 in Millville, Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy and fought during WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys "Jo" Strickland and brother, Delma Strickland. He is survived by his two children, Richard Strickland and wife Kathy, Rhonda Jo Strickland-King, three grandchildren, Robert Allen King and wife Jennifer, Natalie Jean Strickland, Trevor Carl Strickland, three great grandchildren, Trinity Micole King, McKenzie Aliceann King, Courtney Jo King, three sisters, Dorothy Martin, Lucille Ezell, Carol Seymour, half brother, Ross Strickland and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Floyd Wright officiating. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Covenant Hospice, 107 W 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Dayton Strickland.
