DAVID EUGENE "DINK" WALSH
David Eugene "Dink" Walsh, 68, of Perdido Key, FL, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in his home. He was born June 15, 1938 in Panama City. He was a 1956 graduate of Bay High School and attended the University of Florida. He was an active member of the University of Florida Alumni Association. He was the owner and operator of Lillian's Pan Pizza in Perdido Key. He was active in politics having served as a city commissioner for the City of Cedar Grove. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Patrick Walsh & Mattie Bell Walsh Shehans, 3 brothers, Earl Leon Walsh, Edward Lee Walsh, George Patrick Walsh Jr. He is survived by the love of his life for 47 years, Mary Lillian Walsh, 2 sons, David Eugene Walsh Jr., Chance O. Walsh, daughter, Kathryn Walsh Hammac and husband, Lyle, 7 grandchildren, Beau Hammac, Brett Hammac, Savannah Hammac, Bragg Hammac, Charity Walsh, Morgan Walsh, Alex Walsh, all of Perdido Key, brother, Charles Henley Walsh and wife, Mary Stephens Walsh of Panama City Beach, sister, Sue Parker and husband, Jerry of Cedar Grove, FL, step-father, James E. Shehans of Cedar Grove, 3 sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Walsh, Betty Walsh, both of Panama City, Frances Walsh of Tampa, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Buchanan officiating. Interment will follow in the Callaway Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Active pallbearers are Beau Hammac, Brett Hammac, Chuck Walsh, Ben Walsh, Mark Godwin, and Wayne Davis.
