David Perry Smith, 93, of Parker, Florida, passed away November 7, 2022. He was born March 18, 1929 to John and Rosa Smith in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Forestry. He was a retired forester for the Florida Department of Agriculture, Division of Forestry. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Panama City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Zelda Hill Smith; son, David Smith; and granddaughter, Morgan Hooper. He is survived by three children, Melody Bolin (Mike), Holly Hooper (Chris) and Mark Smith (Debbie); seven grandchildren, Andrew Bolin (Crystal), Travis Bolin (Amanda), Lindsey Bolin, Zach Hooper (Stephanie), Jennifer Luchner (Brandon), Megan Wright (Davis) and James Perry Smith; and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 2 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating.
