David Foster Silvey, 69, of Panama City, FL, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 26, 2019. He was born June 29, 1949 in Middletown, OH. David was a Professional Engineer (PE) in civil engineering for over 35 yrs. Although working in consulting engineering for most of his career, he was currently employed at Tyndall Air Force Base. He was known for his passion of sailing, amateur radio, Ohio State football, the Civil War, and Civil War reenactments. He was hard working, loved to laugh, loved to crack corny jokes, was kind to everyone he knew, and was genuinely loved by all who knew him. David is preceded in death by his father, Rexford Silvey; and mother, Marjorie Silvey. He is remembered dearly by his wife, Karen Collins Silvey; three children, Joanie Greer (Jimmy), Katie Indarawis (David), Kelsey Beasley (Bobby); and sister, Bonnie Jones (Steve). He was also a beloved grandfather to six beautiful grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his dogs, Gracie and especially Harley.
The family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 4 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be given to the charity of your choice.
