DAVID LEE JACKSON
David Lee Jackson, 85, of Wewahitchka, FL, died Thursday, December 24, 2009. He was born March 17, 1924 in Bay County and had been a lifelong resident of the area. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the U.S.S. Ranger. He was retired from H.G. Harders Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Dottie Jackson and a daughter, Betty Fay Jackson. He is survived by 3 children, Carol Stringfellow and husband, Charles; Bobbie Brannon and husband, Roger; David W. Jackson; 7 grandchildren, Michael Stringfellow, Melissa Rushing, Leigh Brannon, Alan Brannon, Cindy Brooks, Randy Jackson, Chris Holley; sister, Mazie Cantrell and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. CST at Roberts Cemetery, Wewahitchka, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3-5 p.m. Sunday.
