David Benjamin Gray, 97, of Panama City passed away at his home on December 24, 2009. A lifelong resident of Panama City, Mr. Gray was a graduate of the University of Florida. He served in the United States Coast Guard in World War ll.

Mr. Gray and his family were in the building supply business for many years. He was active in the community and served on the boards of Bay National Bank, Bay Memorial Hospital, and Gulf Coast Junior College.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ann Bannerman Gray. He was the father of four daughters: Angie Meredith and husband ,Tom, of Vidalia, GA; Mae Morris and husband, Rod; Marie Bazzel and husband, Harold; Inez McCloy and husband, Ross; and one son: William Benjamin Gray II, all of Panama City. He was the grandfather of Mary Ann Meredith Wade, Thomas Gray Meredith, Margaret Greene Hitchcock, Katherine McCloy Breed, Melanie Rose Morris, Angeline McCloy Wamberg, Benjamin Ross McCloy, and Ann Cameron Morris. He was the great grandfather of Meredith Helen Wade, Georgia Angeline Meredith, and Caroline Gray Wade.

.A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery at 1: 00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2009 with Rev. Virgil Tillman officiating.
