David L. Gatchell, 76, of Panama City, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. He was born on Dec. 15, 1949 in Zanesville, Ohio. He retired from Kmart after 33yrs as a sales associate and management. In his spare time, he loved playing guitar, trivia, crossword puzzles and rescued animals. He is survived by, his wife Rita Gatchell; 2 nieces DeAnne Greer and Dawna Ross; a sister-in-law Mary Jo Gatchell ; very close friends who are like family Steve Perry, Loujeania and Jonathan Bruhl and his newest rescue a 2 year old chihuahua, Mia. Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will have a private service at a later date.
