Dave Edward Mitchell, 85, of Panama City, FL went to be with the love of his life on August 22, 2023. He was born on July 6, 1938, in Sneads, FL.  After graduating from Bay High School in 1956, Dave served in the U.S. Air Force, where he learned electronics.  He went on to become an instrument Repairman for Arizona Chemical Company, where he worked for over 25 years before retiring. Dave was a Longstanding Member and Past Master of the Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge #314 and was highly involved in helping new members learn rites and progress through the degrees of freemasonry.  He was also a very active member of the Shaddai Shrine, where he served as Potentate in 2001 and was a member of the Royal Order of Jesters. Dave is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Beatrice Mitchell, his wife of almost 60 years, Susan Anne Mitchell and his grandson, Austin Mitchell. He is survived by his two children, Tim Mitchell (Trish) and Gina Mitchell Price (Mark); three grandchildren, Haley Mitchell, Chase Mitchell, and Mackenzie Mitchell Collins (Michael); three great-grandsons, Greyson, Troy, and Holland; three brothers, Donald Mitchell (Betty), Lamar Mitchell (Linda) and Jerry Mitchell (Janet, deceased); and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 28, 2023. Family will receive visitors at 10 am, followed by services at 11 am. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospitals in Dave's name.This will be a Masonic Service provided by Harry Jackson Masonic Lodge at the Funeral Home. The lodge is open at 9 am.
