IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Daniel Wendell
Etter
January 29, 1959 – January 25, 2022
Daniel Wendell Etter, 62, of Panama City, Florida passed away on January 25, 2022. He was born on January 29, 1959 in Phoenix, Arizona to AJ and Arlene Etter. He was preceded in death by his father, AJ Etter.
He is survived by his wife, Debi Etter; his "children" Bam Bam and Pebbles; his mother, Arlene Etter; his mother-in-law, Geraldine Bozeman; two brothers, Dennis and David Etter; two sons, Robby Walker (wife Rochieda) and Jason Walker (wife Melinda); grandchildren Brantley Walker, Steffan Walker (wife Ali), Colby Walker, Lauren Walker, Christian Walker, Trenton Walker, Anna Grace Walker, Olivia Walker, Lillian Walker, and Madeline Walker; and seven great grandchildren. Dan grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where he loved rodeo and anything outdoors. After graduation, he joined the United States Navy and was part of the SEAL Underwater Diving Team. His last assignment brought him to Panama City where he lived, worked, and played, met his best friends, and the place he met the love of his life "Deb".
Dan spent over 40 years at Berg Pipe and Berg Spiral. He began as a repair welder, progressed through management and retired as a General Manager of Welding at Berg Spiral. The people at Berg were family to Dan that he cherished. He loved being around his friends on any occasion, but truly enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, watching NASCAR and Alabama football. He was always the life of the party and loved to entertain everyone.
Dan loved his family. He enjoyed taking their motor home on trips with Deb and the dogs, cooking gourmet meals for everyone and performing any trick or dare the grandkids could think of. There wasn't anything he would not do for anyone.
The family will have a visitation on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Wilson Funeral Home from 1-3pm.
