DALLAS POPE STEPHENS

Dallas Pope Stephens, 90, of Panama City, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was born September 24, 1920 in St. Andrews, where he resided after his retirement. He was a retired Chief Master Sergeant for the U.S. Air Force, where he received numerous medals and commendations including: Meritorious service, Air Force Longevity Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal and the American Theatre Victory Medal. He was a 62 year member of the St. Andrew Masonic Lodge #212. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Eloise Womble Stephens and his parents, John Henry & Emma Stephens. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Stephens, of Dothan, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until service time.
