Connie Ilene Newman Brim, 71, returned home to her Heavenly Father on a beautiful Sunday morning, November 20, 2016 in Panama City, Florida. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 9, 1945 to Verne Jenkins Newman and Deloris Ilene Denney.

Connie was raised in Salt Lake City and graduated from Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah. She was an extremely hard worker and excelled in the insurance business as a manager agent with Stockton, Whatley, Davin and Co. She later enjoyed a civil service career with the United States Air Force at Tyndall AFB as an Accounting Technician. She also was employed with the Navy Experimental Diving Unit as a Contracting Officer. She received several letters of commendation and various awards for her outstanding service and dedication.  In her later years, she worked for and retired from Discover Card Services as a Customer Service Manager.  She was selected as a 1999 Pinnacle of Excellence award winner, the highest award given to individual employees for excellent service within the company.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, scrapbooking and genealogy work, her pets (especially her cat Mardi) and traveling.

She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many different callings and was very devoted during her life.  She loved the church and her fellow brothers and sisters.

Connie is survived by her sons Thomas Gordon Brim and Christopher William Brim; her brother Robert J. Newman and her sister Diane Newman Bogue; her grandchildren Kyle Christopher Brim and Ariel Morgan Brim. She is preceded in death by her eldest son, Michael Troy Brim.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11-12:30 p.m. prior to the graveside.
