Clayton “Clay” Lamar Collins, 68, of Panama City, Florida went to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, July 24, 2026. He was born July 27, 1957 in Panama City to George Bruce Bain Collins Sr. and Anne Agatha Hobbs Collins.

Clay was a self-employed carpenter. He could fix or build anything he put his mind to. He had a passion for golf. He was a member of Panama Country Club where he played weekly with the “Dog Fight.” Throughout his golfing career, he had 8 hole-in-ones and received numerous golf tournament awards. Clay loved the Lord and had a strong desire to share the Gospel. He loved his adult small group at St. Andrew Baptist Church and their weekly fellowships.

Clay was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bayne Collins. He is survived by three siblings, Carl Collins (Jana), Mary Ann Taylor, Beth Specht; sister-in-law, Anne Collins and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 3 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Cory Pitts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00-3:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
