Clarence Curry Collins went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 30, 2023. He was born August 7, 1937 to Otto Harrison Collins and Beatrice Lewis Collins in Norfolk, VA. He retired from Chesapeake Rim and Wheel (CRW) after 25 years serving as the General Manager and Vice President of the Norfolk, VA warehouse.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Collins, 2 daughters Kathy (Allen) Talbott of Woodstock, Georgia and Laura (Ken) Condron of Panama City Beach, Florida. Granddaughters Tara (Rob) Oberman, Ashley (Carson) Brown, Melanie (Zachary) Sisk, Katie Condron and Lindsey Condron. Sisters Dolly Stogner and Beatrice Stewart both of Norfolk, VA. Nephews, Dan (Glenda) Collins and Robert (Susan) Collins both of Norfolk, VA.

He joyfully served on the board of directors for The Center of Hope (St. Andrew Baptist Benevolence Center) at St. Andrew Baptist Church in Panama City, FL. Clarence enjoyed counseling and sharing his faith with the many people that came to the center for help. He also served as a Deacon and was very active with the men's ministry at Kempsville Baptist Church in Va. Beach, VA prior to moving to Florida to be closer to his grandchildren.

Clarence was a proud American. He was very patriotic and loved reading about the history of America. He loved researching his family's genealogy, loved woodworking, and was also a model railroad train enthusiast. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a faithful and self-less man whose family meant everything to him. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him.

The family plans to carry his ashes back to Virginia at a later date (to be decided). In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew Baptist Benevolence Center, The Center of Hope. www.sacccpc.org
