CLARA JEANETTE CAROTHERS
Clara Jeanette Carothers, longtime resident of Panama City, age 75, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Gulf Coast Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1934 in Orlando, Florida. She retired from Gayfers Department Store after 20 years of service. She was a member of the Unity Church of Panama City, longtime member of Florida Farm Bureau and actively involved in the community for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Carothers and son, Thomas Ross Carothers. She is survived by her daughter, Roberta Carothers, of Panama City; son, Michael W. Carothers, of California; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6 – 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unity Church of Panama City or to the charity of your choice in memory of Clara Jeanette Carothers.
