Charlotte Mabel Swanson, 97, of Panama City, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.  She was born April 16, 1927 in Hinckley, Illinois.  She was a retired supervisor with the DeKalb Community School District.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Charley & Iona Furland; her husband, Clarence Swanson; daughter, Linda L. Swanson Chisamore and two sisters, Phyllis Breese and Harriet Sebby.  She is survived by a daughter, Dianne "Di" Swanson; son, Gerald Swanson and his wife, Petra; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.  The family would like to thank Vitas Inpatient Hospice for their excellent care and compassion.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial donations to be made to your favorite charity in honor of Charlotte Swanson.
