Charlotte Ann Campbell Kent, 78, of Callaway, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 19, 2014.
Charlotte was born Oct. 18, 1935 in Panama City, Fla. She was a retired bank teller from Bay Bank and Trust Company in Callaway, Fla. and also served in several banks in Georgia and Alabama. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Panama City. She served in volunteer positions in several Baptist churches in Florida, Alabama and Georgia alongside her husband who was a minister of music, education and youth for more than 45 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Earl Kent; her parents Harry and Myrtle Campbell and a brother, Gary Campbell. She is survived by two daughters, Laura Cornell and husband, Joel Cornell of Tampa, Fla., Linda Linn and husband Jay Linn of Cartersville, Ga; son Christopher Kent and wife Lisa Manuli of Douglasville, Ga.; four grandsons, Jacob Cornell, Jason Cornell, Tyler Linn and Hayes Linn; sister Marcia Drew and husband Bill Drew of Newnan, Ga. ; brother Fred Campbell and wife Judy Campbell of Panama City, Fla.; brother Joe Campbell of Hilliard, Fla.; sister-in law Sue Campbell of Panama City, Fla. and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Panama City with the Rev. Randy Kuhn and the Rev. Clyde Ellison officiating. The visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
