Charles Alvin Walraven, of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015. Charles was born on January 6, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia to William Walraven and Donna Craft Walraven. He graduated from O'Keefe High School in Atlanta, Georgia in 1966. He served two tours in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. He was a wounded combat vet and received four purple hearts. He retired from Westlake Monomers, Calvert City, Kentucky in 2009 and moved to Panama City Beach in 2010. He is deceased by his parents,William and Donna Walraven and two brothers, Dan and Gary Walraven. He is survived by one sister, Carol Walraven Phillips; one brother, Don Walraven; five children, Watseka Walraven, Shane Walraven, Brandon Walraven, Charwan Walraven Houghland and Melissa NeSmith; eight grandchildren, Knoxx Walraven, John Mason Houghland IV, Gunnar Houghland, Justin McQuillen, Joshua McQuillen, Kaleigh NeSmith, Emma Walraven, and Levi Walraven; two great grandchildren, Bailey Green McQuillen and Jameson McQuillen; numerous nieces and nephews, and lots of friends in the Atlanta/ Kentucky/Panama City Beach area. There will be a memorial service held on Saturday October 24, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Gulf Highlands Beach Resort Conference Center, 10997 Hutchinson Blvd. Panama City Beach, FL 32407.
