CHARLES EUGENE NOWELL, SR.
Charles Eugene Nowell, Sr., 71, of Youngstown, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was born on December 13, 1940 in Panama City. He was a 1958 graduate of Bay High School and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Nowell was a Major for the Salvation Army for over 45 years. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Nowell; three children, Charles E. "Chuck" Nowell, Jr., Rhonda Brown (Bill), Charlene Bennett (John); four grandchildren, Jennifer Pierce, C.J. Nowell, Aubrey Bennett, Faith Bennett; and three great grandchildren, Kyra, Krista and Daniel. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1 at the Salvation Army Worship Center on Highway 77 with Lt. Colonel Eugene Slusher officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 2601 S Highway 77, Lynn Haven, FL 32444.
