Charles L. Sims, 76, of Panama City, passed away October 12, 2012. He was born November 19, 1935 in Bonifay, Florida to Loyd and Monette Sims. He was a retired electrician. He had been a resident here most his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 children, Mike Sims and Jackie Sims; 4 grandchildren, Michelle Sims, Michael Sims, Nicole Sims, Jacqueline Sims; 2 brothers, Loyd Sims and Harold Sims. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Susie Sims; 5 children, Roger Sims and wife Myrna, Terry Morris, Gerald Sims and Sharon, Doug Sims and wife Crystal, and Johnnie Nolind and husband Chris, who was a very devoted son-in-law; 16 grandchildren, Bryan, Russell, Hope, Renee, Shawn, Christopher, Amanda, Zachary, Tina, Michael, Julie, Sarah, Hunter, Charlie, Matthew and David; 8 great grandchildren, Ryan, Ashley, Blake, Chasity, Haley, Parker, Grady and Taylor; 2 sisters, Frances and Linda; 2 brothers, Leslie and Randy; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Donnie Jackson officiating.
