CHARLES B. "CHUCK" KENNEDY

Charles B. "Chuck" Kennedy, 75, of Southport, FL, went to be with our Lord on December 31, 2006 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Massachusetts and has resided in the Panama City area since 1975. He proudly served his country in the Navy for 31 years. After his retirement he went on to be a diving supervisor at Taylor Diving & Salvage in Louisiana. He was an active member in the St. Andrew Masonic Lodge #212, the Eastern Star, the Shaddai Shrine Temple, where he served in the color guard, Fleet Reserve #346, Am Vets Post #47 and the Moose Lodge #1389. His gifts of sharing, caring, and kind words were felt by everyone he met. This past year was spent traveling in his RV, with his loving wife and enjoying life to its fullest. His tenderness and loving smile will be forever remembered and missed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Harris, father, John F. Kennedy, his wife of 31 years, Alice Kennedy, 2 brothers, Michael Kennedy, David Kennedy and a sister, Rosaleen Blaiz. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Sherry L. Kennedy, sister, Patricia Kennedy, 2 sons, Brendan Kennedy, Kevin Kennedy, 2 daughters, Deborah Hodges, Dawn Kennedy, 4 loving stepsons, Brian Greene, Travis Jamison, David Jamison, Justin Jamison, 18 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 5 nieces, and 2 nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery with military and Masonic rites conducted at the graveside. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Those desiring may make a contribution to the Shaddai Shrine Temple Transportation Fund, 1101 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL 32405 in memory of Chuck Kennedy. The St Andrew Masonic lodge will open at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
