Charles Edwin Miller of Lynn Haven, FL passed away on August 19, 2014 following a lengthy illness. He was born November 22, 1925 in Carnegie, OK, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Boyd Miller, and was a graduate of Wichita Falls High School.
During World War II he served in the United States Navy, and graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1949. He first worked for IBM, and then later became one of the first seven employees of Electronic Data Systems. He was a Systems Engineer with EDS until his retirement.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Betty Pace Miller, and one son, William David Miller. He is survived by his wife, Sue Cameron Miller of Lynn Haven; son and daughter-in-law Robert C. and Rochelle of Jefferson City, MT; daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and David Slaughter of Missoula, MT; and two granddaughters, Melissa Miller and Maria and Nate Cook, also of Montana. He is also survived by stepsons Curt Cameron of Lynn Haven and Robert Cameron of Birmingham; stepdaughter and son-in law Mary and Jim Hulgan of Lynn Haven.
The family will receive friends at Wilson Funeral Home from 4 until 6 p.m. on Friday, August 22. In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite animal shelter or charity would be appreciated. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
