CHARLES E. "CHARLIE" DUNCAN
Charles E. "Charlie" Duncan, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on November 27, 2012. He was born February 19, 1937 in Barton, Arkansas. He was a retired truck driver. He was a member and worked for Springfield Community Church for the past 15 years. He loved playing his bluegrass music. He loved his family, which includes his wife of 55 years, Zelma Pierson Duncan; 8 children, Tammy Lynn Duncan, Robin Cutting (Hal), Teresa Richardson (Jon), Sheila Matchkus, Patricia Leavins (Morris), Donna Moody (Kenneth), Tony Duncan (Kathy), Charles E. (Cecilia); 15 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and special friends, Joy Brannon and Kevin Gainer. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Springfield Community Church with Rev. Donnie Jackson and Rev. Carl Curley officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. Friday. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice, especially Frank and Michella; and also Dr. Baddigam and staff. Active pallbearers will be Cody Cutting, Trevor Cutting, Brandon Hill, Josh Duncan, Clifton Ward and Farrell Leach.
