Obituary

Charles Harold Buschmeyer was born August 18th, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri. Harold served as a Private 1 st Class in the US Army from 1946 to 1947 in Fort Benning, Georgia

He was a USPS City Letter Carrier in Panama City, FL for over 58 years, a member of St. Andrew Baptist Church, and coached for many seasons in the Drummond Park Yellow Jackets football program.

He was predeceased by his wife of 71 years, Margaret Jean Helms Buschmeyer, his parents, Charles Henry Buschmeyer and Ruth Horn Sanders , stepfather William "Bill" Sanders, two brothers, Arthur Kurelmeyer and  David W. Sanders, and two sisters, Alice Kurelmeyer Wagner, Hannah Buschmeyer and great-grandson Coen Walsh. He is survived by two children, Rory Buschmeyer Steiner and Gregory Buschmeyer (Cathy), four grandchildren, Ryan Buschmeyer (Kerri), Casey Buschmeyer (Lorrie), Brent Steiner (Julie), Jennifer Steiner Walsh, and five great grandchildren, Caitie Buschmeyer, Blaine Steiner, Cole Buschmeyer, Aislin Steiner, Mya Walsh, and Kate Buschmeyer. A nephew, Mark Sanders and a niece, Carol Sanders.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service.

Internment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Andrew Baptist Church Center of Hope in memory of Charles Buschmeyer.
