Charles Quincy Adams, 88, of Panama City, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. He was born May 30, 1927 in Washington County, FL. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was the Manager of Lamar advertising for 35 years and was the owner of Charlie Adams Advertising. He was a Charter member of (Springfield) Parkway Presbyterian and a former member of Wallace Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was a Charter member and Elder at Grace Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Lions Club, Optimist Club, Military Affairs Committee, and the Chamber of Commerce. He is preceded in death by his parents; Roy J. Adams and Beulah Yon Adams; sister, Sarah Grace Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Doris Evans Adams; daughters, Janet Lanford (Phil) of Port St. Joe and Judy (John) Friede of Port St. Lucie, FL; grandchildren, Charlie Lanford, Julie Goeddeke, Rachel Ferradaz, Dawn Sims; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Terrell Adams; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Grace Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gary Cecil officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 -11 a.m. prior to the service. Active pallbearers are Greg Johnson, Steve Harmon, Gary Harmon, Paul Thrasher, Harry Thomas and Rob Duncan. Honorary pallbearers are the Elders of Grace Presbyterian Church and former Lion Club members.
