CHARLA POWELL MORRIS
Charla Powell Morris, 77, of Panama City, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013. She was born July 7, 1935 in Panama City to Charlie E. & Ruth Clark Powell. She had been a lifelong resident of Panama City and was a 1954 graduate of Bay High School. She was a retired Supervisor for the Department of Motor Vehicles. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Monroe Morris, Sr.; one son, Mitchell M. Morris, Jr.; one grandson, Michael G. Morris; one great granddaughter, Emma Talley; three sisters, Coreta Pratt, Margie Davis, Martha Greeson; one brother, Butch Powell and wife, Skipper; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Those desiring may make memorial donations to the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Charla Morris.
