IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Chad Lelon
Vickery
June 2, 1981 – April 13, 2023
Chad Lelon Vickery, 41, passed away on Thursday, April 13th, 2023. Chad was a lifelong resident of Bay County and was proud to be a descendant of one of Bay County's first families.
Although Chad was born with Spina Bifida, he didn't let that slow him down. He enjoyed the freedom and independence his wheelchair, ATV, and truck provided him through the years. Chad felt most at peace when he was outside, especially in the woods on his family's property camping, hunting, and fishing. Chad was a proud alumni of Rutherford High School where he loved lifting weights and being included with the football team. Chad took great joy in his volunteer work with the students at Lucille Moore Library and was honored to receive State Volunteer of the Year, his proudest achievement. Chad was always kind to animals and a loving son, brother, cousin, and friend to many.
Chad is predeceased by his grandmother Genevieve Vickery, mother Billie Vickery, and niece Dixie Vickery.
He is survived by his father Charles (Anna) Vickery, brother Jason (Tiffany) Vickery, sister Caitlin Vickery (Cory Lowe). Uncles Bob(Pril) Vickery, Tom Roulston, Aunts Carol (Ray) Dyjak, Lydia Vickery, cousins Carrie (Dan) Dyjak-Seldon, Lynsey Roulston, Lee(Rachel) Perlis, Craig (Kelly) Vickery, and many extended family and friends.
Chad's family would like to thank Doreen Bramton for being a special friend and advocate.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for 1pm on Friday April 21st at Greenwood Cemetery. Please come as you are as Chad would want everyone to be themselves.
In lieu of flowers please practice random acts of kindness in Chad's honor.
