Obituary

Cecilia Mullin Williamson, 65, of Panama City, FL passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2021 in her home with her family by her side.  She was born December 2, 1956 in Baltimore, Maryland.  She graduated from St. Pius X High school in June of 1974.  Ceil then attended college to pursue medical training in Atlanta, GA. On November 17 th 1979 Cecilia married the love of her life, Edgar Russell Williamson III.  Together they raised two daughters, Erin and Dana.  Ceil, devoted her life to raising strong successful daughters.  While living in Atlanta she served as an office manager for Atlanta OBGYN.  Together with her husband and daughters they branched out to make memories in the beaches of Florida.  After moving to Panama City in the summer of 1992, Ceil started working in Real estate.  With every home sale she would put away money for both her daughters education.  Diligent savings was a pillar of her character.  When an opportunity arose to return to medicine, Ceil joined the team at the Neurology Group.  Her talent was recognized and rewarded, as she skillfully organized a team of Doctors, and ultimately branched out with Dr. Thomas Derbes when he started his own practice.  She tirelessly kept him organized for over 25 years.  Her work and example paid off, when she was able to watch both of her daughters graduate from the University of Central Florida in 2004 and 2007.  After successfully financing her daughters education, Ceil was able to begin showering her grandchildren with love and attention.  The first of her six grandchildren came that same spring of 2007.  When she wasn't working, Ceil was an aggressive traveler.  No distance proved too far to spend precious time with her grandchildren.  She and Rusty hosted both beach trips, and ski trips, traveled to the Pacific to see Ava and Jack, then crossed it to see Hannah, Elijah, Isaac, and Emery.  Her consistent travel was matched only by the love of her sisters.  Kathleen (Kathy), Patricia (Pat), and Stephanie (Steph) were unfailing travel companions.  Together they watched hundreds of bay sunsets, watching first their children, and then their children's children build castles and caves in the white sand.  Cecilia's entire life was focused on giving, and blessing her descendants.  She demonstrated how hard she would fight for them one final time when she insisted from her ICU bed to shop online and purchase Christmas gifts for her grandchildren.

Cecilia Mullin Williamson finished her life exactly how she lived, fighting for her family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Francis Joseph Mullin, mother, Edwina Bolton Mullin, brother, Michael G. Mullin, and two sisters, Stephanie Mullin and Maureen Mullin.  She is survived by her husband, Edgar Russell Williamson III; two daughters, Erin Danielle Jarvis (Jonathan), Dana Maureen Woodall (Jason); six grandchildren, Hannah Mullin Jarvis, Elijah Jarvis, Isaac Jarvis, Emery Jarvis, Ava Woodall, Jack Woodall; two sisters, Patricia Mullin Edge (Charles), Kathleen Mullin Cordwell (Butch) and numerous nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the Wilson Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family request that you either bring an unwrapped toy to the lobby of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Saturday for a donation to a child in need this Christmas or make a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
