CATHERINE SORRENTINO WILSON

Catherine Sorrentino Wilson died, surrounded by her family, at Bay Medical Center early Tuesday morning, February 13th, 2007, following a brief hospital stay. She was 81. Catherine was born, in Panama City, Florida, on November 30, 1925, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph W. Sorrentino. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of nearly 40 years, Robert N. Wilson, Sr.; her brother, Ralph Sorrentino; sisters Anita Sorrentino Pospisil and Gloria Sorrentino Taylor; brothers-in-law Curtis Granberry, Bill Waller, and Col. Joseph L. Pospisil (Ret.). She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert N. Wilson, Jr., and their sons, Bennett Robert Wilson and James Philip Wilson, of Ayer, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her step-daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Anderson, and their son, Jordan Wilson Anderson, of Ogden, Utah. She also leaves behind two sisters, Virginia Sorrentino Granberry and Marie Waller Lee, and her husband, Robert E. Lee, all of Lynn Haven, Florida. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews. Catherine was a 1943 graduate of Bay High School, and was retired from the Department of the Air Force, where she worked as a civil servant for almost 30 years. She was an active member of the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church and Nettie Sanders Circle; a volunteer with the Bay Medical Auxiliary; the Panama Country Club Womens' Auxiliary and Golf Association; and was a former member of the Junior Service League of Panama City. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, February 19, 2007, at the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church, 4501 Transmitter Road, Panama City, Florida. Donations in lieu of flowers should be sent to the Lynn Haven United Methodist Church Building Fund, 4501 Transmitter Road, Panama City, Florida 32404.
