CATHERINE NELSON THOMAS
Catherine Nelson Thomas, of Lynn Haven, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008. She was born in Bay County and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother has gone to a better place, no sickness, no tears, and she is walking on streets of gold. She was a helpmate to her husband and instilled solid values to her children. She was a former member of the Moose Club and her hobbies included bingo and fishing. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Booth Gay, daughter, Helen Adams, four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Tommie Thomas, two daughters, Linda Hill, Charlotte Philips and husband Russell, 8 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 – 8 p.m. The family will be at the home of Charlotte and Russell Philips, 1236 Dundee Lane, Lynn Haven. "Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her." Proverbs 31:28
